Into the Dungeon
Into the Dungeon
This park in Newfoundland, Canada is aptly named Dungeon Provincial Park. It features a collapsed sea cave with 2 natural archways carved by the ocean.
I had researched this location before arriving in Bonavista, but still originally had some difficulty finding the exact spot. Seemingly out of nowhere, I suddenly stumbled across it and my face lit up with excitement. I original thought I might try climbing down into the cave for a closer look, but without another soul in sight and the rough seas I decided it wasn’t worth it - plus I wasn’t too sure how confident I was with making it back up the steep sides. As I walked around trying different compositions, I found some dandelions in bloom which helped to accentuate the framing of the beautiful cave as the torrential waves splashed around below. I decided to use a long exposure to accentuate the crashing waves and the clouds blowing in the sky. Thankfully, the area in my immediate vicinity was very calm allowing the group of dandelions to stand out and contrast beautifully with the very green-and-blue dominated scene.

Fine Art Print
I've selected 100% acid free Hahnemühle William Turner Fine Art paper for this photo. The beautiful texture of this matte paper matches the grass and rock cave beautifully. Print will include a white border around the image for better framing. The print will be signed and numbered using a pencil in the margin beneath the image. If you would prefer the edition number and signature on the back of the print, please be sure to let me know when ordering.
This canvas print comes pre-stretched on to a frame with hanging hardware attached. The print will be signed and numbered on either the side or the back of the canvas.
